Chic on a budget

Ladylike look: although it’s autumn and winter is right around the corner flowers are still a trend this season.A cheaper but stylish alternative to the runway looks is this H&M floral printed skirt.Another trend is wearing an elegant skirt with a sweater or a casual shirt.I love this idea and I think that this pink H&M sweater would look good combined with the printed skirt. I’ve finished the outfit with a pair of nude pinkish heels from New Look, a collar necklace from Asos and a shoulder bag from Zara.

Great look, small budget!

Celeb style

I can't say that I'm a Jennifer Lopez fan, but this is one of the looks that I really liked on her so I tried to recreate it in Polyvore. That Lanvin maxi skirt is just fabulous ( pretty expensive too but we already know  "the best things in life are free. The second best are very expensive."- Coco Chanel) paired with a pair of sandals which are, guesss what, also from Lanvin. All that sparkle is toned down with the simple white top.
Have a great week!

Beauty essentials

With all the cosmetics that are available on the market which are the products that any women should have in her makeup bag? I made a list with all the beauty essentials everyone should have:

1. foundation- you have to start with a good base so foundation is the first step in acquiring the perfect look. It’s very important to choose  one appropriate to your skin type and color. If you have an oily skin then go for a foundation that is oil free and has a  mattifying effect, but if you have a dry skin then choose a moisturizing foundation that illuminates your face
2. concealer  - you can use it to hide any imperfections on your skin or to mask dark circles after a long night
3. eyelash curler – I’ve recently discovered this item and I must say I’ve fallen in love with it. It works better when used on clean eyelashes and then apply mascara
4. black eye pencil -  to highlight  your eyes
5. mascara – the last touch for a seductive look
6. a lipstick or lip gloss that compliments your face. And always remember to highlight only one feature: lips or eyes. Use nude lipstick and dark eye make up or vice versa.
7. and the final product on my list: blush – use pink shades for light skin and peachy or bronzer for darker skin tones. A tip that the stylists recommend us is to match the lipstick with the blush
These are my beauty essentials. What about yours?

Bank breaker vs on a budget

Introducing a new column of the blog called : “bank breaker vs on a budget”.
Peplum was a big trend last season and it keeps maintaining on the same line this season too.Wheather  it was on skirts, blouses or dresses peplum was everywhere on the runway.Combine this gorgeous trend with lace and you get a fabulous skirt.Or two!I’ve fallen in looove with the Burberry Prorsum skirt. It’s beautiful, but waay too expensive for my budget or any other normal person budget so I looked for a similar one but with a smaller price and I found this chic Mango lace skirt. As pretty as the Burberry one, but definitely more affordable.
What do you think about my choices?
Till next time!

Celeb style

And I'm back for the "monday celebrity inspired look"!It's getting cold outside so for today I chose this look inpired by Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.She looked stylish in a pair of  boyfriend jeans,  a blazer, grey ankle boots and accessorized her outfit with an animal print scarf and oversized sunglasses. What I really like is that she used only one animal print item. You already know, guys, less is more!
